Through a collaboration with Air-Ink, Tiger Beer brought together art, design, innovation and an ecological mindset, creating awareness about the global problem of carbon air pollution. Tiger Beer approached the problem artistically, by commissioning the use of Air-Ink, ink made of carbon emissions, and locally, by involving local artists in using the ink to create public art.
Tiger Beer, the premium lager from Asia, brought Air-Ink to Germany as part of a week-long global launch campaign. flora&faunavisions successfully created, designed and executed a 5 day long “neighbourhood takeover” – a series of events, murals, street art, artwork and more. Working with a carefully curated selection of renowned street artists, flora&faunavisions created a citywide buzz featuring the use of Air-Ink.
As part of the project, we identified a massive facade in Kreuzberg and made it available to the Dixons, one of the finest street artist groups in Berlin, for their creative contribution to the Air-Ink project. Their huge art piece remained in tact and exhibited for a month.
We also set up and designed the urban art gallery Urban Spree, as an Air-Ink Hub, where we invited another six artists to take part in a two day workshop, opening with an MC moderated artist battle supported by Suff Daddy on the decks.
Further locations were created for members of the public to get involved and to create their own posters using Air-Ink. Their contributions were pasted onto a largesclale, highly visible public wall. The amazing popularity of the poster activity allowed us to take over even more of the neighbourhood, and to exhibit the posters at nearby cafés, stores and local conveniences stores.
The artworks created during the workshop by the street artists Andrea Wan, Gogoplata, Kera1, Cren& AkteOne, Steffen Seeger and Rylsee were spread throughout the city in specific outlets of Tiger Beer. Furthermore, throughout the week we set up live painting sessions at collaborating bars and restaurants with each contributing artist.
All these activities were communicated via a street map which spread the message and indicated the whereabouts of the art works created in the city. flora&faunavisions also took the lead on the PR campaign implemented by Schröder+Schömps.
Gold for Tiger Air-Ink at the Cannes Outdoor Lions:
We are proud to have been part of this award-winning extraordinary happening developed by Australian advertising agency Marcel Sydney. The global campaign for Tiger Beer brings together art, design, innovation and an ecological mindset. flora&faunavisions was full-service creative partner of Heineken's Tiger Beer Air-Ink campaign in Berlin and successfully designed and implemented a 5 day long “neighbourhood takeover”.
When planning the events, we didn’t know exactly how much ink we needed to collect for all the artists and the workshops that we had arranged - it was quite unusual to try to calculate that! At one point we had some serious concerns about whether we were going to be able to create enough ink in time, or whether we would run out! Luckily it all worked out in the end and the project was a great success.
